“Knowing pain is a very important ingredient of being there for another person.” Prior to becoming a highly skilled and professional massage therapist, Cindy worked for a wholesale company in San Jose, supervising 50+ employees. Even back then she spoke passionately to co-workers about one day earning a living using her innate healing gifts. “Enlightened by my own health challenges, as well as my family’s and friends’, I was drawn to this journey of connecting mind, body and spirit,” she says. “The human touch is one of the most important natural healing tools that we have. I am honored to share, with my diverse clientele, the transformative powers of the human touch.” Cindy will smile and say, “It’s all about me,” but for those of us who have seen her generosity in helping others, or have been on the receiving end of her kindness, we know that she is really talking about the intrinsic reward she receives from sharing her skills in rehabilitation, pain relief and relaxation therapy. Cindy received her massage therapist certification from Silicon Valley College in 2001. She became a Reiki Master and Teacher in 1996. She’s been practicing mediation and energy body-work techniques for the past 11 years. Cindy introduced Reiki to the YMCA in Saratoga, California in 2000, where Reiki still continues to be a part of their Wellness Program. Through her commitment to sports therapy, she sponsors the following athletic groups: Silicon Valley Triathlon Club, Kelley Cup Women’s Soccer Tournament, East Bay Co-ed Soccer Tournament. “Soccer, golf, tennis, gymnastics—every sport requires treatment knowledge,” she points out. On the personal side, this is what Cindy says about the journey that brought her to massage therapy: “I want each of my clients to experience the many benefits of therapeutic massage techniques, and to gain the wisdom to keep their own body in optimal health.” |
